We've already taken an extensive look at what WB Games and Netherrealm Studios -- the developer behind last year's "Mortal Kombat" reboot -- are doing with DC Comics' heroes and villains in "Injustice: Gods Among Us," as you can see from our hands-on with the game. Today, the roster got a little closer to purr-fection with the addition of Catwoman to the roster.
WB Games has released a new vignette of clips featuring cat burglar extaordinaire Selina Kyle's leather-clad alter ego in action, using a combination of dynamic speed, razor sharp kitty claws and a whip to tackle her adversaries. As you can see in the video (which we've included below), she's able to combine these attacks to form some devastating combos, both on the ground and in the air.
Much like the other characters in the game, in addition to routine attacks, Catwoman can also utilize a number of items in the environment to her advantage. She can bounce off the hood of a car using her cat-like reflexes, getting the jump on an opponent from behind. She can also unleash a devastating kick attack to knock someone through a wall into the next room.
Catwoman is the latest addition to "Injustice," joining the likes of Batman, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and various soon-to-be-announced fighters, many of whom should be revealed within the months ahead.
"Injustice: Gods Among Us" is currently slated for a 2013 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.
