"The Avengers 2" has a release date! Joss Whedon's upcoming sequel to the blockbuster Marvel film is slated to hit May 1, 2015. The release date comes a mere week after Marvel and Disney announced Whedon would be back to helm the follow-up. However, it's likely to be a while before the sequel gets into heavy production, as "Iron Man 3," "Thor: The Dark World," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" are all in store for fans before a return to Whedon's "The Avengers."
