S.H.I.E.L.D.

Crave Online spoke with Joss Whedon at the Toronto International Film Festival where the topic of "S.H.I.E.L.D." and Marvel Cinematic Universe came up. Whedon confirmed that "Item 47" Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford would likely not be involved with the show.

"I honestly don't think they’re available because I think she's on another show," Whedon said. "We're building it with a new group of people. They were great and that had a lot to do with why we're making the show, but we're starting fresh."

Whedon also spoke about the format of the show and once again stressed that it would be autonomous from the Marvel films.

"It's going to be a very standalone show," he said. "We'll do what we always do which is every episode will conclude and you’ll have taken away your story, but there will be a through line running throughout. It will not be in the foreground but as in all of these shows, it will probably take foreground at some point, many seasons down the road God willing."

Meanwhile, MTV spoke with Agent Coulson himself, Clark Gregg, who expressed his feelings on Whedon's television project.

"Joss is going to do what I'm sure will be a really cool, insanely funny, exciting 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV show with Coulson on a slab, wherever the S.H.I.E.L.D. graveyard is." Gregg told MTV. "It's funny. I was watching ... some of the scenes from Avengers where everyone is like Coulson's down. Agent Coulson's down. And there's a lot of blood. And I'm thinking, you know what? I might be kind of dead. I'm having to [accept my fate]. I'm scared that I'm going to go to 'Thor,' and they're going to have Agent Coulson's funeral. I got way too attached to this character."

THOR: THE DARK WORLD

WH Photography continues its posting of behind-the-scenes "Thor: The Dark World" photos, including a look from the back at a stuntman as Fandral. The photo comes from the same set as Thor's battle alongside Sif, so it seems likely Fandral (played by Zachary Levi) will get his fair share of screentime alongside the God of Thunder.

Meanwhile, Bleeding Cool has begun a rumor that the "Thor" sequel will kill off a major character -- according to Bleeding Cool's sources, it's likely Odin (though the article noted after speaking further, the sources were a "little less sure" now.)

Opens November 8, 2013

THE WALKING DEAD

The season premiere of "The Walking Dead" is only one month away and Yahoo! TV has posted new first look photos of the cast.

Plus, Bloody Disgusting has posted a new trailer in anticipation of the third season premiere.

Premieres October 14 on AMC

GAME OF THRONES

The Official "Game of Thrones" production diary has posted a production update with a vague description of a pivotal scene contained in the upcoming season.

"It was an important rehearsal, and the two main protagonists are two of my season favorites: an unexpected pairing, whose war of words is almost as full-on as the fight," the production update reads. "This struggle has been choreographed and rehearsed for weeks, with each move carefully placed to match the terrain. The fighters wore pads and fell on crash matts [sic], though for the close-ups later in the week, during the first night shoot of the season, the landing would not be quite so comfortable. It will be a character-defining scene, for more than one who is involved, so it has to be done well."

The update came paired with a new behind-the-scenes photo of production.

Premieres March 31, 2013 on HBO

ARROW

Spinoff Online has posted images from the upcoming "Arrow" pilot featuring a very shaggy Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen.

Premieres October 10 on the CW
