SUPERMAN

According to Latino Review, Steve Martin cut out of preparations for his stage play "Picasso at the Lapin Agile," playing in Palo Alto, CA. Why is this important? The allegation from a cast member's spouse is that he left to meet with Bryan Singer about taking on the role of editor-in-chief for a certain major metropolitan newspaper ... the Daily Planet's Perry White.

HELLBOY 2

Looking to grill Ron Perlman on the Guillermo del Toro-helmed sequel (or maybe about playing Slade on "Teen Titans" or any of a myriad of other topics)? If you're in San Antonio this Saturday, you can catch the actor at the Texas Superhero & Sci-Fi Collectors Halloween Spectacular.

UPDATE: Ryan Tyler wrote in to point out that Perlman has since had a scheduling snafu that means he won't be in Texas, and also sent a corrected link for the 'con.

FANTASTIC FOUR

Ready for some new photos of the stunning Jessica Alba on the Vancouver set of the Tim Story-helmed Marvel adaptation? Superhero Hype has you covered.

SMALLVILLE

It's almost predictable at this point -- Kryptonsite has screen captures for the first look at next week's episode "Devoted." So, of course, Devoted to Smallville posts the trailer itself in WIndows Media format. Then you'll note that Kryptonsite has promotional photos from the October 20th episode "Run." So then DTS fires the final shot with fresh spoilers for the season's ninth episode, "Bound." No word on whether Rev. Jesse Jackson will be called on to negotiate a cease fire.

HULK 2

According to Moviehole, "Various reports over the last twelve months suggested that the stand-up comic turned Hollywood it-boy had walked away from the role, with producers now in search of another lad to fill the torn shorts. But Bana tells the mag that he's 'seriously considering' a second shot at playing The Hulk, with the studio keen for a sequel."

THAT'S A WRAP

You can choose an alias if you'd like, or be mentioned by name -- we honor requests for anonymity.
