Many television premieres invite stars to attend a red carpet event, but for AMC's "The Walking Dead," cast and crew speak to the press at a dead carpet event. Producer David Alpert, producer and special effects guru Greg Nicotero and stars Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon), Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Lauren Cohen (Maggie Greene), Vincent Ward (Oscar) and Chandler Riggs (Carl) spoke up on what to expect from the upcoming season including Daryl and Merle's inevitable reunion and further exploration into the relationship between Maggie and Glenn.
"This season is a lot more about bringing Glenn into the Greene family and consolidating the family that's left," Cohen told CBR TV. "We're a dwindling group right now, so we're just sort of keeping together as a unit. You definitely see this really great symbiosis of Glenn and Maggie as a team and how they take walkers down and how they have their relationship, but all of their relationship sits at the side when some of the group's needs are greater, which is always, the group's needs are greater. So you're definitely going to see really good developments and what we hope is a real portrayal of a real couple in a heightened setting."
"The Walking Dead" Season Three premieres Sunday, October 14 on AMC.
