ARROW

It's a TV day here at the Comic Reel and we begin with the good news that "Arrow" was the most watch CW show in three years. According to TVLine, the premiere snagged "4.02 million total viewers and a 1.3 demo rating." This bodes well for the show, maybe just maybe, that Wonder Woman show that's being mooted. Did you miss the premiere (like I did)? That's okay, the CW has it up for free on their website.

Airs: Wednesdays

RED 2

Of course, it's not all TV as we return to the set of "Red 2" courtesy of the lads at Comic Book Movie. Yesterday, I posted a picture of the stars in a curious expression. Today, I offer a bemused Catherine Zeta-Jones:

And as a bonus, here's David Thewlis on a moped:

Release date: TBA

THE SIXTH GUN

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Lost" veteran Cartlon Cuse will develop the Cullen Bunn/Brian Hurtt Oni Press graphic novel series for NBC. The plot revolves around "six mythical guns in the Old West. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl named Becky Montcrief, dark forces reawaken." Screenwriter Ryan Condal will write the pilot.

Release date: TBA

IRON MAN 3

Our old friend at Bleeding Cool reports footage of the film unspooled at the NYCC Retailer Breakfast. His description of the footage includes "Jon Favreau arguing with Tony Stark about his level in the company, with all sorts of metatextual underpinnings, before giving us a series of shots of cast, explosions, destroyed scenarios, attacks on Tony Stark's beachfront property and his many armours being exploded." Meanwhile, according to Film Music Reporter (via Comic Book Movie), "The Expendables" composer Brian Tyler will score the film.

Release Date: May 3rd, 2013

PETER PANZERFAUST

Superhero Hype reports that the Image Comics series "Peter Panzerfaust" will become a motion comics series thanks to BBC Worldwide Productions and Quality Transmedia. The deal also allows for the companies to produce a live-action TV series. The book revolves around an updated version of Peter Pan who "is an American freedom fighter in Nazi-occupied Europe at the outset of World War II. He partners with the Lost Boys, a ragtag group of orphans, to combat the Nazi threat, led by SS Captain Haken (aka Captain Hook)."

Airdate: TBA

DAREDEVIL

According to various sites, including Blastr, Wednesday marked the end of 20th Century Fox's option on "Daredevil." They write, "Fox's agreement to retain the film rights to the franchise were contingent on a new film being in the works by October 10, and with that deadline lapsed, the rights have reportedly reverted back to Marvel." I suppose that means Marvel and parent company Disney are free to develop their own film or integrate the character into one of the existing film franchises. My friends tell me I've seen the Ben Affleck "Daredevil" from 2003, but I just have no memory of it.

Release date: TBA

RAINY DAY AND WEEKENDS

Cue up "Prometheus" and get me a Rainwater Martini -- it's the weekend! With the first Autumn rains, I'm looking to stay in with a few friends and another look at Ridley Scott's "Prometheus." The Blu-ray promises answers, but I somehow doubt that. I'll see you all on Monday for one more turn of the Reel.
