JUSTICE LEAGUE

It looks as though Warner Bros. finally plans to move forward with some concrete plans for its "Justice League" film. The studio has announced a 2015 target date for the film following the ruling on a long legal battle for the rights on Superman. The plan is for the studio to begin shooting the film next year. Warner Bros. hopes to spin solo films out of the ensemble picture -- essentially the opposite of Marvel's formula.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

A report from The Hollywood Reporter on actress Shailene Woodley indicates she's been offered the part of Mary Jane in "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel. However, the publication further notes that MJ's role in "Amazing 2" will be limited to a small role with a larger part for "Amazing 3." Is it possible Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy will die in part two?

DEADPOOL

Director Tim Miller, who is helming the "Deadpool" film, is also involved with "The Goon" film Kickstarter and briefly answered a "Deadpool" question in the comments.

"We've turned in an amazing script and done some early tests and visual development that -- I'm confident -- would get the fans stoked," Miller said. "And Ryan [Reynolds] still loves the project. So it's really up to Fox as to whether or not the film happens -- all I can do is hope (and beg periodically) that it be allowed to move ahead."

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Digital Spy has posted an excerpt from an interview with Mark Millar in SFX Magazine about the direction of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which Millar says goes into an apocalyptic future.

"You've got robots, you've got time travel, you've got superheroes - it's got everything in one film," Millar told SFX. "Cost-wise it's going to go up, and ambitious-wise it's gone up, but [Matthew] Vaughn can handle it. Vaughn made 'Kick-Ass' for $28 million."

THE WALKING DEAD

CBR's own Kiel Phegley spoke with "The Walking Dead" actress Danai Gurira about Season Three, the introduction of Michonne and her experience so far playing the character.

"Well, in the actual backstory, she doesn't learn from anybody. It's a survival thing," Gurira told CBR. "You scour around for what you can survive with, and that's what she came across. She started to figure out how to make it work for herself, and I think that's a big part of how she got through stuff. There's a connection she's developed with [the sword]. But she also found herself pretty good at it. Once you figure out how to use that, you realize that she's effective and pragmatic and so is that weapon. I think there was just a connection she found in it. And it's economical. It can take off a lot of heads and doesn't make a lot of noise. It's a smart weapon to have."
