Mark Millar has posted a new update on "Kick-Ass 2" on the Millarworld Forums following a set visit, stating the sequel may be better than the original "Kick-Ass."
"This was a huge moment for me because there is no bigger fan of the first movie than me," Millar said. "I think it's pretty close to perfect. But there's so much in this, the whole thing so rich, that I honestly think this might be the 'Empire Strikes Back' to 'Star Wars.' I'd seen over 40 mins before, but seeing the edited version of the next 20 mins gave me a very comprehensive look for how the finished movie is going to look and I was actually quite shocked. I won't spoil scenes for anyone who hasn't read the source material (the 'Hit-Girl' series and 'Kick-Ass 2' comic), but there are so many great moments here. Kubrick said that a great movie has eight terrific moments. I lay in bed this morning and counted fourteen genuine movie-moment scenes. You can look at the book and probably guess these, but they're articulated so beautifully. I was really happy when I came away a couple of weeks back, but the Millar Gang and I were ecstatic when we LOVE this and we all had a feeling that this was going to go really wide when it opens next June."

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2
E! Online has posted a video in conjunction with this week's release of "The Amazing Spider-Man" on DVD/Blu-ray where Additional Animation Supervisor David Schaub states an Easter Egg at the end of the film teases a development in "Amazing Spider-Man 2."
"In the very last shot of the film where [Spider-Man] is swinging, gets himself shot out of the crane and he's flying down past the George Washington Bridge and he strikes a pose, there's an Easter Egg -- but I can't tell you any more than that -- for something to come," said Schaub.

MAN OF STEEL
Warner Bros. has revealed that Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" will receive a 3D conversion and have an IMAX presentation.
"The film is going to be a visually exciting experience in all formats: 2D, 3D and IMAX," Snyder said via press release. "Anticipating how audiences today embrace 3D, we designed and photographed the movie in a way that would allow 'Man of Steel' to captivate those movie goers, while respecting fans who prefer a more traditional cinematic experience. We've taken great measures to ensure the film and the story come first, and 3D is meant as an enhancement."

After denying rumors that Mark Wahlberg would star in "Transformers 4," Michael Bay has posted on his personal website that it may no longer be completely out of the question.
"I squashed a rumor that was on the internet last week," Bay stated on his blog. "It was about Mark Wahlberg. Mark was rumored to be staring in 'Transformers 4.' We are working on another movie together, not 'T4.' I had such a great time working with Mark on 'Pain and Gain,' and he gave such a great performance -- well let’s say that very internet chatter gave me some ideas. We are at the inception of our story process right now on 'T4.' Let's say some ideas are gaining traction with me and my writer -- so I'm here to say thanks internet chatter."
