MAN OF STEEL

While speaking with the New York Post, "Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder spoke briefly about whether his version of Superman might be integrated into a larger film universe or included in the "Justice League" movie.

“I don't know how ‘Justice League' is going to be handled. Honestly, I don't,” Snyder told the New York Post. “But ‘The Man of Steel' exists, and Superman is in it. I don't know how you'd move forward without acknowledging that."

The Post also reports Snyder as treading carefully when it came to the question of whether he'd had conversations about integrating "Man of Steel" into a larger universe.

"Um, how can I answer that?" he said. "I can't really say anything to that, because that's a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course."

THOR: THE DARK WORLD

The Huffington Post spoke with "Thor: The Dark World" star Tom Hiddleston about the switch of directors between "Thor" (directed by Kenneth Branagh) and "Thor: The Dark World" (directed by Alan Taylor).

"Ken established the tone, so we've taken the baton and kept running," Hiddleston told the Huffington Post. "Alan Taylor is fantastic, one of the men responsible for 'Game of Thrones' which is so of that world, a very grounded, gritty, earthy world where warriors and swords and monsters and magic all meet, so his experience of that has given him a fantastic take on the whole world of Thor. I went to a summer screening of a Marvel short film. Ken came and so did Alan, it was very clear how much mutual respect between them and I thought, ‘ok, it's going to be fine.'"

EVIL DEAD

Original "Evil Dead" star Bruce Campbell spoke with Total Film about how new director Fede Alvarez sold Campbell and Sam Raimi on doing a remake.

"He pitched a full-length story and we really liked it. He wrote a script and we kept liking it. It sort of grew on us like a wart," Campbell told Total Film. "Plus, when you see the chances of making a sequel receding every year, like our hairlines, you realize maybe we should get a new punk in here with five new kids to torment. We can use our experience to help guide the filmmaker to come up with a new balls-out movie that will torment people for the rest of their lives. We think he did it!"

THE SECRET SERVICE

Mark Hamill spoke with Media Mikes about his recent casting in the film adaptation of Mark Millar's "Secret Service" and how his cameo in the comic came about.

"Mark contacted me via email and wanted to know if he could use my likeness in a comic book and beyond that to kill me in it," Hamill told Media Mikes. "Well I thought that it was a very interesting idea. I am a huge fan of his and Dave Gibbons from 'Watchmen.' I have a great friendship with him now. He asked me if I wanted to be in the movie and I said, 'Sure.' I don't know what the details are yet. But it sounds like a lot of fun. The last time I played myself was in 'The Simpsons,' back in 1998. It is very unnerving to play yourself because you have to analyze, 'Well who am I?' I really don't think about myself except in the roles I play. When I was getting ready to do 'The Simpsons,' I was walking around the house asking, 'Do I sound like this' or 'Do I sound like this' (both in different voices). I became very self-conscious but once I saw the advance concepts for the comic book from Mark, I thought it was such a brilliant concept combining the fantasy world of James Bond and contrast that with the drab lower-class English background that this guy comes from. It is such a wonderful paradox combination of elements in and of itself. It is not a major role but I never look at things like they need to be about me. I think about if it is good and if it is good I want to be a part of it. As far as I know, it is all a-go, we haven't signed contracts or talked about a deal but I am sure it is going to happen."
