JUSTICE LEAGUE

Latino Review has begun the rumor that the Justice League's foe in the planned film will be Darkseid, the evil God of Apokolips. File this one squarely under rumor, as Latino Review states the revelation came about as a result of "persistent snooping" and cites no sources. While readers should definitely take this one with a grain of salt, Darkseid is a pretty expected choice for a foe to unite the heroes of the DC movieverse. The ruler of Apokolips was the main foe that brought together the heroes in Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's first arc of "Justice League" for the New 52.

AMAZON

Wonder Woman TV has gotten ahold of a casting side for "Amazon" featuring two scenes for Diana (codenamed "Iris" in the side) and a male protagonist named Pete, likely Steve Trevor.

The first scene sees Pete bound to a chair as Diana attempts to discover his intentions. Another scene has Pete and Diana at a diner as the Amazon has her first taste of ice cream. There is no indication whether either of these scenes will be filmed for the pilot.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

In a round-up of news for television, TV Line has posted quotes from ABC president Paul Lee about Joss Whedon's "S.H.I.E.L.D."

"It’s very Joss Whedon," Lee told TV Line. "We’re optimistic, because Joss is a genius and we love the idea and we love what we’ve seen, but it’s early days, and it’s a long way to go between now and a successful series. But we are very excited about it."

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

ET Online spoke with actress Jamie Chung, who replaces Devon Aoki as Miho in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," about the status of the Robert Rodriguez-directed sequel.

"Robert [Rodriguez, director] is really taking it to the next level," Chung told ET Online. "In terms of technology, there's so much more for him to play with. Robert is such a creative man. His work process is so fascinating to me. There's not much time to prep. You get up there and he says do it and you just do it. It's by the far the most physical role I've ever done. I'm in action hero heaven!"

THE AMORY WARS

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez and Mark Wahlberg's film adaptation of Sanchez's "The Amory Wars" comic is currently in the early stages of development.

“It’s very preliminary stages,” Sanchez told THR. “Because the mythology is very dense and a lot of parts are already created ... it’s just trying to find the right starting point to get people attracted to it. … I think the story is pretty universal in terms of the themes and the subplots. I think people can find a character they can connect to or find as their favorite. And they can get behind the main character as well. It’s a universal story and I think it’s going to draw a bigger audience than just the band’s. I think it has already.”
