"24" alum Dennis Haysbert has been tapped to portray Manute in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For."

Robert Rodriguez's "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" has gained a new member of its cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dennis Haysbert has joined the "Sin City" sequel and will portray Manute, the massive and deadly nemesis of Dwight. Manute was portrayed by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in "Sin City" and plays a large role in the source material on which "A Dame to Kill For" is based.

"Manute is a character that has been part of the heart of the Sin City tales and the late Michael Clarke Duncan beautifully established that role on screen. We could not tell the story of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For without Manute and are thrilled to welcome Dennis Haysbert to the cast," said Rodriguez and "Sin City" creator Frank Miller in a statement.

Fans know Haysbert best for his portrayal of President David Palmer on "24" and as the longtime spokesman for Allstate. The actor joins "Sin City" alumni Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Jamie King and Rosario Dawson along with newcomer Jamie Chung, who stepped in to replace Devon Aoki as Miho.
