IRON MAN 3

JustJared has posted excerpts from James Badge Dale's interview with "Glow" magazine, including a quick quote on his experience playing the villain in "Iron Man 3."

“I had a great time. I went from riding a horse in the desert for 'The Lone Ranger,' tossed my dogs in a car and went to 'Iron Man 3' with guys in robot suits," Dale told Glow. "'IM3' is really a dark comedy with a little bit of farce. The trick is to be able to have the audience relate to you. Director Shane Black gave me a long leash. We had a great time. Robert Downey Jr. loves the process of acting and loves to be creative with a director and his fellow actors.”

Comic Book Movie has posted transcribed quotes from Robert Downey, Jr. during his appearance at the Livestreamed Cinefamily Telethon about Shane Black's involvement in the "Iron Man" franchise from the start.

"I’ve been a fan of Shane Black since I saw 'Lethal Weapon.' When we were doing the first 'Iron Man,' Jon Favreau and I used to call up Shane Black," Downey said. "We had two lifeline calls; one was to J.J. Abrams, which was about the third act [of 'Iron Man']. And for the other call, we went to Shane’s house. We couldn’t afford him, so in exchange for helping us with a few key scenes, he asked for a piece of Salmon and fresh blueberries. For instance, in the 'Iron Man' scene where Tony Stark comes back from captivity and calls a press conference, and then asked everybody to sit down, the speech Stark gives all came from Shane Black. So to get him to do 'Iron Man 3,' it has just been this awesome experience and one of my favorite working experiences. 'Iron Man 3' is going to be a very, very bold genre film, from the storytelling."

The actor also teased an arc for Jon Favreau's character Happy Hogan during the film and praised the work of Sir Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin.

TRANSFORMERS 4

Collider spoke with Mark Wahberg about his involvement in Michael Bay's "Transformers 4," and while the actor wasn't able to give away any concrete details, he did state the movie would begin filming in May.

“That’s why 'Transformers' came about, because we had such a great time working together [on 'Pain and Gain']," Wahlberg told Collider. "We kind of complemented each other throughout the entire process, what he does and what I do and what we were able to do together, and then after that I was like ‘Dude we gotta work together again,’ and he was like, ‘Well I got a project, you interested?”

However, if you do want some possible spoilers, Unleash The Fanboy reports a copy of the "Transformers 4" script has leaked, revealing the major antagonist of the film to be none other than Unicron. The post at Unleash The Fanboy gives a complete plot synopsis of the supposed leaked script.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

According to On Location Vacations, there will be a funeral scene in Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel. Considering the comic book fate of Gwen Stacy, this may not bode well for the film breaking comic book canon.

Blackfilm spoke with Jamie Foxx about Electro's costume and the actor revealed it won't be the classic comic book green and yellow.

"It will be a different color. They (the producers) want something for the future," Foxx told Blackfilm. "They want to have it more grounded and not as comic bookie, so it won’t be green and yellow. They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what happen. How did he become this way? So, it will be some new stuff. In the script, this villain is the first time it’s be written really, really well. Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb both commented on how great the script is, so it should be an exciting time."

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

Benedict Cumberbatch spoke with Yahoo! Movies UK about his role as the mysterious John Harrison in "Star Trek Into Darkness."

"He is fed into the crew of the Enterprise and creates a lot of shadow play between Kirk and Spock," Cumberbatch told Yahoo! "He is an awesome single-handed weapon of mass destruction but also a master mind-player and manipulator who plays with their roles and loyalties and understanding of what's right and wrong. As far as his own purpose, beyond the terrorist means, he has a noble cause, which will hopefully resonate with the audience."

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

Dennis Haysbert spoke with SuperHeroHype about his role as Manute in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," taking over the character originally played by the late Michael Clarke Duncan.

"I haven't finished working out to the capacity that I need to, but he's going to be different. This is playing as a prequel, so it should work out," Haysbert told SuperHeroHype. "It's going to be my character, but I've spoken extensively with Frank Miller and Robert (Rodriguez) about what they want with the character and yes, it has to have some feel of what Michael did but I have to make it my own."

TRON 3

Collider spoke with "Tron Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski about his involvement in the follow-up film "Tron 3," including how much time will have passed between the films.

"I think time has passed. It feels like we’re kind of real-time in step," Kosinski told Collider. "So however much time has passed since Legacy came out would also have transpired in the real world. So it will still be contemporary. So let’s say if the 'Tron' sequel comes out in 2015, then four or five years have passed since the last movie."

THE HOBBIT

Peter Jackson has a cameo in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" -- as a dwarf!

"I didn't have a great deal of choice," Jackson told Empire Online. "There weren't any human characters in this film, and there weren't any hobbit roles I could play... and I'm not an elf."
