AMAZON

STV Aberdeen City reports Scottish actress Amy Manson is one of the first actresses under consideration for the lead role in the CW's Wonder Woman origin show, "Amazon." Manson has previously appeared in "Torchwood" and the UK version of "Being Human."

MAN OF STEEL

Reelz.com has posted a video interview with Russell Crowe, who discusses "Broken City" and his thoughts on Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel." (Transcript courtesy Comic Book Movie.)

"It's really complicated, it's really complex," Crowe told Reelz. "I don't think anyone's really tried to get into the psychology of what it must be like to be Superman. And [how] people would really respond in a modern society if someone like that popped up. Zack Snyder who directed 'The Watchmen,' who directed '300' and a few other things, he was given a great deal of responsibility. Because when it comes to comic book heroes and superhero films, at the top of the food chain is Superman. I think the biggest indicator for me as to how it's looking is that the financier of the film, a lovely fellow by the name of Thomas Tull- quite a reticent man, doesn't mince his word, he's sent me dashing e-mails, he just loves it and thinks its going to go down really well. I'm really looking forward to seeing it. It's a massive undertaking, the type of sets we worked on in that film were incredible. It takes you to the ground on Krypton. It takes you to a planet where the sun is four times larger than ours. I think people are going to love it and if you've seen the trailer, you realize that this Superman is not just floating through the air, held up by a wire. This Superman is supersonic, when he decides to fly, he doesn't muck around. I'm really looking forward to the way people respond to it."

THOR: THE DARK WORLD

Jaimie Alexander spoke with Mania.com and gave a brief overview of what to expect in "Thor: The Dark World" -- but she was careful to play things close to the chest.

"Even Sif must respect the power of the NDA," she said. "I can say that we explore the relationship between Thor and Sif a little more in this film. And you get to see a lot more of the people of Asgard, what their daily lives are like. We get to explore a couple of other worlds as well. I think the fans are really going to like it."

Opens November 8

IRON MAN 3

In an interview with E! Online, Don Cheadle teased the highly anticipated "Iron Man 3."

"The tone is there's more of an existential journey that Tony's on trying to come to grips with this thing that he created that is creating him, too," Cheadle told E! Online. "Who's really in control? And the toll that it takes on his relationships. And then a lot of s--t blows up."

Plus, Marvel has released a new still image of Iron Man and Pepper Potts from the film.

ARROW

MTV spoke with "Arrow" head Marc Guggenheim about what's to come during the back half of the show's debut season, which starts back up tonight.

"My hope is that all of the mysteries will be answered; at least all of the major ones," Guggenheim told MTV. "There's certain mysteries that Oliver is holding in himself and then there's other mysteries like, for example, what his mother is up to that Oliver needs to start to unravel. You start to feel, in the second half of the season, that everything’s clicking in a really good way. The production value on the show just takes this huge leap forward; starting in episode 10 with all this fire and then in episode 11 we open with some amazing armored car sequences."

Guggenheim also joined co-exec Greg Berlanti in an interview with The Huffington Post about the show and the path to its current direction.

"We were able to go through the hell of the first seven or eight [episodes] that I think you have to go to, to sort of calibrate how to make a good episode and how to make it on time and on budget and all that stuff, and [we started] to get real, true audience feedback about what people are enjoying most," Berlanti told The Huffington Post. "So this next run of episodes is the byproduct of a conversation we've had with the audience and then also our own learning curve in terms of how to make better episodes."

The producers also teased a team-up between Deadshot and China White in the back half of the season, and confirmed Jessica De Gouw will be back as The Huntress in episode 17.

TV Guide has posted a first look at Seth Gabel as the Count Vertigo-inspired villain The Count.

THE WOLVERINE

Fox Creative Consultant Mark Millar spoke with SciFi Now about James Mangold's "The Wolverine" and the role of Wolverine as a character in the X-Men franchise moving forward.

“You don’t want to have him out there all the time, because I think if you’ve got him in 'X-Men' and 'Wolverine' movies and they’re all running at the same time, it’s a little bit too much but as long as you’re smart with it and there’s a lot of other characters to explore as well," Millar told SciFi Now. "The X-Men universe is about the same size as the Marvel universe in terms of the number of titles it sustains at any one time, so there’s a ton of stuff to play with there and a lot of characters I’d like to explore there too.”
