JUSTICE LEAGUE
In case you missed it, as we reported here at CBR yesterday, a rumor has come down the pipe concerning the Will Beall ("Gangster Squad") script: A. It's terrible and B. It's been scrapped. What does that mean for the project? Probably another delay and, long term, maybe it'll become another Justice League project that never quite happens like the infamous TV pilot and Wolfang Petersen attempt with Common and Armie Hammer. Making this happen requires a force of will and I doubt it can be sustained indefinitely.
Meanwhile, in the never-ending Ben Affleck/JL rumor, Latino Review's El Mayimbe offers this Twitter-post regarding that oft-mentioned meeting of studio and actor/director: "FUN & FABULOUS FANBOY FACT OF THE DAY: DID YA KNOW WHEN AFFLECK WAS APPROACHED TO DIRECT JUSTICE LEAGUE THEY ALSO WANTED HIM TO PLAY BATMAN?" Affleck? In tights and a mask? It never would've worked. Y'know what would work for him? Will Magnus. Just saying.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2
Ready for some tea-leaves to go with your coffee? MTV News notes that director Marc Webb has been posting enigmatic photos from the set, including this one:
It carries the enigmatic hashtag "#happybirthday." So what does it mean? Well, the Green Goblin of course! According to MTV's appraisal of the current thinking, " the number '14' on the locker corresponds with 'Amazing Spider-Man" #14,' the first comic book appearance of the Goblin. Further, Harry Osborn actor Dane DeHaan was born on February 6 — the same day Webb tweeted out the 'ASM2' set pic with the "#happybirthday" hash-tag." Well, that seems perfectly logical. Now, back to analyzing the Zapruder Film.
