Action Cat and Adventure Bug take flight in "Aw Yeah! Comics!"

Mark Waid announced that he is adding children's comics to his Thrillbent digital comics platform -- and he's kicking it off with Aw Yeah Comics, the all-ages line spearheaded by "Tiny Titans" creators Art Baltazar and Franco.

Waid made the announcement at the "Digital Comics First" panel at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo.

The first two issues of Aw Yeah Comics will be available beginning April 27 on the digital comics platform comiXology, under the Thrillbent imprint. And that's not all: "In the weeks to come, we will see dedicated, exclusive Aw Yeah Comics material on the Thrillbent site," said Waid.

With the continuing expansion of the Thrillbent offerings, Waid said there are plans to launch a Thrillbent for Kids site as well, promising, "We will be rolling that out fairly soon."

"Tiny Titans" creators Art Baltazar and Franco ran a successful Kickstarter earlier this year to launch Aw Yeah Comics, a line of all-ages comics based on characters created by the pair and written and illustrated by a variety of creators.
