According to The Calgary Herald, Carrie Fisher confirmed that she will reprise her role as Princess Leia in J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII." The actress revealed her involvement during a panel at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo over the weekend.
"I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before," Fisher said during the panel. "I’m glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I’m really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything."
AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
/Film has posted a rumor on how Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios planned to bring back Agent Coulson following his apparent death in "The Avengers." According to an unnamed source, the pilot reveals Nick Fury faked Coulson's death on purpose to motivate Earth's Mightiest Heroes. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." opens as Coulson comes out of hiding and back to active duty. It's still a rumor at this point, but definitely a theory that many fans had following the announcement of Clarg Gregg's involvement with the show.
THE AVENGERS 2
DesdeHollywood spoke with Joss Whedon during the red carpet premiere of "Iron Man 3," where "The Avengers 2" director spoke briefly about Thanos, the Mad Titan.
"Well, Thanos is more powerful," Whedon said. "He is so powerful, he is not someone you can just try out and punch him. Like he did in the comics, you want him to threading through the universe and to save the big finale for the big finale. He is definitely a part of what I have got going on. The thing about the Avengers is that they are very powerful, but they're not very stable. So, there will definitely be some people that will shake them up in the next installment."

MAN OF STEEL
"Man of Steel" actor Michael Shannon spoke with The Huffington Post about his role as General Zod in the Superman reboot and his experience filming the role in a CGI suit.
"I remember the first couple of days I was on set, I thought, 'This is ridiculous. I look like an idiot. I don't look anything like General Zod. I'm a total failure,'" Shannon told The Huffington Post. "I went over to the screen for playback and it was ridiculous. All of us were wearing pajamas, basically. And there was this neon green set of stairs that was supposed to be our spaceship. So you see us all marching down these neon green stairs in our pajamas and I'm like, 'This looks like a Monty Python skit.' And he's like, 'I know right now it looks pretty silly, but, two years from now, it's going to look like the most badass thing you've ever seen in your life.' And he's right."

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
Moviefone spoke with "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" actor Anthony Mackie about his debut Marvel role as the Falcon and what to expect from the sequel in terms of how it fits in the greater Cinematic Universe.
"I think that Marvel has it down to a science and they’ve been very deliberate about what they want and what they don’t want out in the world," Mackie told Moviefone. "And they’re very focused on timelines as far as releases and stuff. This movie, 'Captain America,' has kind of become 'Avengers 1.5'; if you look at the cast they’ve put together, if you look at the number of characters that are in this movie. I mean, it’s a huge number of superheroes and characters. The basic idea is that you have Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon that get together to take down the Winter Soldier."
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely spoke with Nerdist about the process for scripting the sequel and the process of getting Easter Eggs into the film for fans.
"I was reading the script the other day for a scene they were going to shoot and there’s line in there that I would have thought would have been cut long ago," Markus told Nerdist. "[It] was one of those situations where I needed a proper noun basically, and put in one from the Marvel Universe. It’s still there, which would seem to have ramifications, but no one’s objected yet. Other times we’ve had characters like, you know, 'Call in S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Z' or whoever and the Marvel people we say, like, 'He might as well be this guy from the comics. If he’s gonna come in and talk, let’s give him a name.' So some things end up being reverse-engineered into a reference, which is fun."

"Ninja Turtles" producer Michael Bay spoke with Moviefone about his plans for the reboot, stating that -- despite rumors to the contrary -- the Turtles aren't aliens in the film.
"There was that quote saying that we’re making [the Ninja Turtles as] aliens. We’re not. It’s the ooze!" Bay told Moviefone. "It’s from the original source material. These are from the original writers, and I never went out to correct myself in the press. I do listen to the fans and I do want this to be authentic. I think they’re going to be really happy with this movie. When I see the digital stuff, the turtles look great."
