X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Collider spoke with Ellen Page about a myriad of topics, including her return to the role of Kitty Pryde in Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Sir Patrick Stewart also spoke about his resurrection as Professor X in the upcoming film at ComicPalooza (in a video posted by X-Men Films) where the actor calls the movie "the blockbuster of 2014."

"It’s interesting, it's possibly 6 or 7 years since 'X-Men 3' when you recall Charles Xavier was vaporized by… what’s her name, Jean Grey. And you are asking yourself, ‘Well if you were vaporized, how can you be in the next X-Men movie?’ Anybody got any ideas how that came about? There will be an explanation, but it was a little puzzling to me cause I thought my X-Men days were over, but not so. So something to look forward to, cause there’s not much to look forward to these days really."

DOCTOR WHO

It looks like the 11th Doctor will finally get a chance to regenerate into the 12th this Christmas. The BBC announced over the weekend that Matt Smith will be leaving "Doctor Who" after the 2013 Christmas Special. Smith will be around for the 50th Anniversary Special and his character will regenerate in the Christmas Special.

“'Doctor Who' has been the most brilliant experience for me as an actor and a bloke, and that largely is down to the cast, crew and fans of the show,” Smith said in a statement. “I’m incredibly grateful to all the cast and crew who work tirelessly every day to realize all the elements of the show and deliver Doctor Who to the audience. Many of them have become good friends and I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last four years.”

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

"Doctor Who" fans evidently got a 1-2 punch of news as it's been reported that Karen Gillen (who played the Doctor's fan-favorite companion Amy Pond) will play the main villain in "Guardians of the Galaxy." Gillen joins Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Lee Pace and Glenn Close in the James Gunn-directed Marvel film.
