A quick note before the Comic Reel gets into full swing -- make sure you check out all the coverage from Comic-Con International 2013 either on CBR or our sister site Spinoff Online. Here's a recap of most of the news from the show you might have missed.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." panel screened the full pilot for the fall show, and CBR's Kiel Phegley was there to witness the whole thing.

Without giving away any of the major reveals or moments, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is tonally very much in line with the banter effect of Joss Whedon's "Avengers" screenplay. Here, the focus is on building a new team of Agents meant to be the front line in dealing with the growing super powered population on earth from the mysterious Melinda May to the young hotshot Ward. Coulson is the anchor for the tone and plot of the show as the team tracks down a rogue superhero – whose origin and powers have been much speculated about online, though we'll leave particular of his story out for now – and the Agent's mysterious return is addressed in the pilot. But as with many things in an espionage-themed show, there were plenty of plot points set up as mysteries to be explored later including the powerful villains behind the group Rising Tide.

Debuts September 24 on ABC

AGENT CARTER

Some lucky people -- like CBR's own Shaun Manning -- got the opportunity to see an advance screening of the Marvel One-Shot "Agent Carter" accompanied by a panel. For those that weren't fortunate enough to see an advance look, a clip has surfaced online teasing the upcoming "Iron Man 3" Blu-ray extra.

MARVEL STUDIOS

CBR's Shaun Manning also attended the Marvel Studios Comic-Con Panel, which featured appearances from the "Guardians of the Galaxy" cast to Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Joss Whedon, who announced "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Clips from "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Thor: The Dark World" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" were all shown.

Meanwhile, full footage of the panel (sans clips) has surfaced online, so you can experience Hiddleston's Hall H performance as Loki for yourself.

Despite many rumors stating Vin Diesel will have a role in an upcoming Marvel Studios film, Kevin Feige has stated there is no news about Diesel's casting.

“It’s so far ahead it may not even exist,” Feige told The Huffington Post. “So, there’s nothing to announce. But, I love Vin and he’s an amazing personality. Look how much attention he’s gotten for a meeting. He’s incredibly shrewd. He’s got a 'Riddick' movie that I can’t wait to see. And the 'Fast and Furious' franchise, in addition to Vin, is a franchise I admire a lot for turning the sixth and next year the seventh into the biggest and most popular one. As far as a piece of it? Could some day we do a 'Luke Cage: Hero for Hire' in that kind of vein. Totally.”

SUPERMAN/BATMAN

Indeed, it has been confirmed: Zack Snyder announced "Man of Steel 2" during Comic-Con International and its concept: "Superman/Batman." Warner Bros. was also expected to announce a "Justice League" or "Flash" film, though those titles ultimately did not see any movement during CCI. Unfortunately, no other details were given, though a fan-made logo has already started making the rounds.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

The one character absent from the cast of "Guardians of the Galaxy" at CCI 2013 was Rocket Raccoon, though director James Gunn contends that won't be the case for long, contending news of Rocket and Groot's casting will come "tomorrow, next week-ish."

“It’s not about creating Bugs Bunny in the middle of 'The Avengers,'” Gunn said in an interview with MTV. “This is about creating a character that’s a little animal that was taken and experimented on and pulled apart and put back together again and implanted with cybernetics and he’s half-machine and half-raccoon. And he’s a gnarled, miserable, pretty-angry creature because there’s nothing else like him. And that’s not easy to be.”

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

New posters for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" have surfaced, crossing the "First Class" versions of Magneto and Professor X with their "X-Men" counterparts.

Comic-Con International brought a new look at the Sentinels from the film with a Trask Industries setup outside the Hard Rock Hotel.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

CBR's Katie Calautti attended "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" panel at Comic-Con, with star Andrew Garfield answering questions as Spider-Man for the first ten minutes and eventually taking on a question about his comment about the possibility of Peter Parker exploring his sexuality in future films.

"Spider-Man stands for everybody -- black, white, Asian, gay, straight, lesbian bisexual, transsexual," Garfield said. "I think it would be illogical and it just wouldn't make sense in the third movie suddenly I was with a black guy. [Foxx shrugs, the audience erupts into laughter] To me it's not a social issue, to me love between two consenting adults is love and no one outside of that couple has any right to judge. It's a philosophical question that I think is worth asking, and part of the beauty of Spider-Man is that he's covered head to toe -- you don't see any skin color, you don't identify him with any sexual orientation, he is a hero and that's what's important."

DOCTOR WHO

The 50th Anniversary Panel of "Doctor Who" took place at Comic-Con International and marked Matt Smith's final appearance at the convention as the Doctor -- but the actor definitely made the most of it. He walked around in a Bart Simpson mask on the show floor, complimenting people in "Doctor Who" cosplay.

SHERLOCK

Speaking of shows on the BBC, the "Sherlock" panel was also well-attended at CCI and contained a video message from stars Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch.
