CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

Samuel L. Jackson spoke with USA Today about his return as Nick Fury for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and what his role is in the "Captain America" sequel.

"You see Nick Fury the office guy, him going about the day-to-day work of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the politics as opposed to that other stuff," Jackson told USA Today. "It's great to have him dealing with Captain America in terms of being able to speak to him soldier to soldier and try to explain to him how the world has changed in another way while he was frozen in time. Some of the people who used to be our enemies are now our allies -- him trying to figure out, 'Well, how do we trust those guys?' or 'How do we trust the guys that you didn't trust who don't trust you?' And explaining to him that the black and white of good guys/bad guys has now turned into this gray area.

"Nick lies to him all the time, too. [Laughs] But he's trying to help him navigate the waters of the new sharks that he doesn't know anything about."

Jackson also spoke briefly about Robert Redford's role in the film, saying, "He's part of that World Security Council I was talking to in ["The Avengers"], just he wasn't there. We also know each other because we've been comrades for a very long time."

AGENT CARTER

Marvel has released a new clip from the "Agent Carter" Marvel One-Shot contained on the "Iron Man 3" Blu-ray. Check it out below.

Debuts on the "Iron Man 3" Blu-ray on September 24.

FANTASTIC FOUR

SFX Magazine has posted an excerpt from its interview with Fox creative consultant Mark Millar about the upcoming "Fantastic Four" film and whether Fox plans to build its own version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with both the X-Men and Fantastic Four.

"Without question I think you have to see some of these guys showing up in each other’s movies," Millar said in response to a question from SFX. "I think the most exciting thing in superhero movies, until 'The Avengers' came along, was when Nick Fury showed up in 'Iron Man.' Even though it was a guy with an eye patch it was really cool -- and I expect we will see more of that."

X-FORCE

Den of Geek spoke with Jeff Wadlow about both "Kick-Ass 2" and his upcoming "X-Force" film. Although Wadlow couldn't say anything about the roster or plot, he did state that the film isn't a sequel.

"I bought 'X-Force' #1 when I was a kid, I've read the recent run of 'Uncanny X-Force' which I thought was fantastic, but other than that I just can't comment on the line-up or anything yet," Wadlow told Den of Geek. "It will seamlessly exist in the X-Men cinematic universe, but it's not a sequel."

HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS

Dwayne Johnson continues his Twitter teasers for "Hercules: The Thracian Wars," this time with a behind-the-scenes look at the set and shooting.

ANT-MAN

After last week's big trolling via Twitter concerning "Ant-Man," Simon Pegg spoke with The Huffington Post to once again state that he's not involved in Edgar Wright's Marvel Studios film.

"Yeah, what's funny is that I read Edgar's script for 'Ant-Man' and it's going to be great," Pegg told the Huffington Post. "I'm very excited about it and I can't wait. I love watching stuff that Edgar directs that I'm not in. I love watching Nick [Frost] because I can be a bit more objective about it. I'm not so invested in it personally -- I can actually sit back and be a fan. Like, I love 'Scott Pilgrim' and I was so happy that film was so good because I was so proud of Edgar. And I'm very proud Edgar's going to be doing a Marvel movie and I can't wait to see it. I don't want to be in it, in a way -- not that he'd want me to be in it, either -- because we have to keep our different houses separate. I can't be in everything Edgar does. It would be a shame, our own little brand exists in a bubble we have to kind of protect. It would almost sully that."
