WONDER WOMAN

The word is out: true to Joel Silver's comment two days ago, creator Joss Whedon has been selected to write and direct the adaptation of Themyscria's Finest to the silver screen, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "Wonder Woman is the most iconic female heroine of our time, but in a way, no one has met her yet," Whedon said in a statement. "What I love most about icons is finding out what's behind them, exploring the price of their power. There is a woman behind the legend who is very fascinating, very uncompromising and in her own way almost vulnerable. She's someone who doesn't belong in this world, and since everyone I know feels that way about themselves, the character clicked for me."

X-MEN 3

Ain't It Cool News is bandying about a rumor that Beast, Gambit and Angel will be joining the team in the next film ... but hints that Angel might be a female character, and not a male.

SUPERMAN

There's a rumor floating around Usenet that says, "Parker Posey will be playing the role of Lex Luthor's henchwoman 'Miss Teschmacher' in the upcoming 'Superman Returns' movie."

GHOST RIDER

There can't be more set photos from Australia, can there? Well ... the answer would have to be yes.

BATMAN BEGINS/THE BATMAN

Two quick Gotham-related tidbits: First, Toon Zone is reporting that the new episode "JTV" will air in Canada on Sunday (no word on US airdates). Second, we found four new set photos over at Batman-on-Film.

SAKES AND BEGORRAH

Happy St. Patty's Day, if you're into celebrating the guy who drove the Snake Clan from Ireland. Or just getting drunk. If you have the scoop on anything related to comic book movies, TV adaptations or just want to give us a briefcase full of cash, no questions asked, drop us a line and let's coordinate. You can choose an alias if you'd like, or be mentioned by name -- we honor requests for anonymity. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, I actually got comics reviews done today, which should be online by 7PM EST, and "don't blame me, I'm drunk too!"
