Official Press Release

New York, NY - Harris Comics is happy to announce that Maureen McTigue has joined the editorial staff, replacing the departing David Bogart.

Taking over as Editor-in-Chief, overseeing the main titles of Vampirella and Vampi, as well as merchandise and new projects, McTigue comes with a solid comics background. Beginning at Starlog and Comics Scene magazines right out of college, McTigue soon moved to DC Comics spending six years, working in both Marketing and Editorial, where she edited Wonder Woman and Secret Files among other titles. She has spent the last year at WizardWorld.com as Online Editor.

"When this opportunity came up, the decision to join was easy," McTigue said. "There's something intriguing about Vampirella, and I have some experience with dark-haired super-powered comics women who wear red, so it's all good."

"Maureen is perfect for the job," Harris Comics executive Publisher Jonathan Rheingold added. "Her experience, industry contacts, and her incredible taste will ensure that our books keep getting better."
