Elder & Archer Bring "Scribblenauts Unmasked" To DC Digital Comics

On September 24, "Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure" hits stores to give players access to an incredible catalogue of DC Comics characters and locations to solve numerous puzzles. DC and publisher WB Games have announced that a tie-in digital-first comic will be available as a free download for those who purchase "Scribblenauts Unmasked" via the DC Digital storefront. Titled "A Battle Most Bizzare," the comic focuses on "Scribblenauts" protagonist Maxwell and his magic notebook to help save the world as Superman battles Bizarro and Batman battles the Joker. The cover is drawn in the same style as the upcoming video game.

The comic will be written by Josh Elder, whose work includes Tokyopop's "Mail Order Ninja" and "StarCraft: Frontline." Elder is joined by Adam Archer, who has worked on a number of comics, most recently working on DC digital-first titles "Ame-Comi Girls" and "Batman Beyond." Although initially only available to those who purchase "Scribblenauts Unmasked," the full comic will be available to the public post-launch free of charge.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced that with the purchase of Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure comes a limited-time, exclusive free gift, an original DC Comics digital comic, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure – “A Battle Most Bizarre.”

Consumers who purchase physical copies of the game for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS can download Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure – “A Battle Most Bizarre” by visiting DC Entertainment’s digital comic online storefront, www.readdcentertainment.com/redeem and entering the redemption code provided with the game.  In the comic, Superman finds himself in a battle with Bizarro and Batman is battling the Joker.  It’s up to Maxwell and his magic notebook to restore order and save the world.

Those who pre-order or purchase the PC digital version of the game through Steam will immediately receive Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure – “A Battle Most Bizarre” within the Steam entertainment platform.

While consumers who pre-order the PC digital version of the game through Amazon can download the digital comic starting September 1 by visiting DC Entertainment’s digital comic online storefront, www.readdcentertainment.com/redeem and entering a redemption code.  The digital comic will also be available free with purchase post launch.
