THOR: THE DARK WORLD

Comic Book Movie has posted a German trailer for "Thor: The Dark World" -- there are no English subtitles, but the footage is pretty cool.

SuperHeroHype has posted a new poster for the upcoming sequel featuring Tom Hiddleston as Loki, who is (as always) burdened with glorious purpose.

BATMAN/SUPERMAN

In a recent interview, Josh Brolin confirmed he was in the running to play Batman in the "Man of Steel" sequel -- the role that eventually went to Ben Affleck.

"I didn’t have conversations about it, but Zack, that was part of his idea," Brolin told The Huffington Post. "It just didn’t turn out. It’s OK. It is OK. You know, another scenario might have worked better, but I’m happy for Ben."

“I’ve never seen such a global reaction in my life,” Brolin continued. “I feel for him, truly. I would not want to be him right now. The reaction becomes so personal,” Brolin said. “It’s like, ‘Fuck this guy, I wish he was dead.’ And you’re like, ‘What? Dude, seriously? This guy is just working like you are. He’s doing the same thing you are. He’s trying to make the best choices he can. [...] I just feel for anybody who gets lambasted at that level. I want him to kick ass and I want everyone to love it and kind of eat their words.’”

ANT-MAN

It's possible that Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" is somewhat ahead of schedule, as Marvel Studios has moved up the film's release to July 31, 2015. Originally slated to hit theaters November 6, 2015, the date change adds "Ant-Man" to an already busy summer season that opens with "Avengers: Age of Ultron," continues with "Batman/Superman" and includes "Star Wars: Episode VII."

DOCTOR WHO

Comic Book Movie has posted a pulled article from BBC.co.uk that details the upcoming special episode of "Doctor Who" that serves as the exit of Matt Smith. Smith, alongside previous Doctor David Tennant, will star in a special entitled "The Day of the Doctor," which celebrates the 50th Anniversary of "Doctor Who" with a running time of 75 minutes.

"The Day of the Doctor" airs November 23

QUEEN & COUNTRY

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" actress Ellen Page is currently in talks to star in a film adaptation of "Queen & Country," the Oni Press comic series written by Greg Rucka. This is the first major rumor for the film since development began at Fox in 2005. Page is presumably up for the role of Secret Intelligence Service officer Tara Chase, the protagonist of Rucka's series.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR

PR guru Gary Miereanu posted a still from the upcoming "Justice League: War" animated feature to Twitter, giving a first look at Shazam in the adaptation of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's debut arc of "Justice League."
