Marvel Comics has released a first look at artist Chris Bachalo's interiors for "Uncanny X-Men" #13 written by Brian Michael Bendis, and part of the X-crossover "Battle of the Atom." Bachalo's page shows a Phoenix Force-powered Quentin Quire locked in combat with the future version of Iceman, the giant ice-monster no match for the mighty power of the Phoenix.

"These are the Future X-Men from a really awful future," Marvel Senior Editor Nick Lowe told CBR in a recent interview. "Now, are they all boy scouts? The X-Men rarely are, even today. They aren't exactly like the X-Men of today, I'll tell you that much. They've been forced to make a ton of difficult decisions in a rough, rough place."
