AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

CBR's Todd Gilchrist has posted a review of the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." pilot episode, saying viewers should "consider S.H.I.E.L.D. successfully reborn on the small screen, though it remains to be seen whether the show becomes the Marvel Cinematic Universe's bona fide sibling, or just a red-headed stepchild."

Executive producer Jeffrey Bell discussed the upcoming series with KSiteTV, including whether viewers will actually get to discover how Agent Phil Coulson is still alive following the plot of "The Avengers."

"I can assure you that we are going to explore, answer questions, raise new questions all the way through, and working with Clark has been great," Bell told KSite TV. "We always say there's two reasons why people love Agent Coulson. One of them is Clark Gregg, who is the real deal; and the other is that it really does feel like us regular people, to have a guy who's that smart, and that funny, and that casual... he's a fun character to write. He gets to be the best version of all of us. Because he's around superheroes, he seems normal, but I think in a normal universe, he would be clearly be a rockstar."

Meanwhile, Marvel has posted a video interview with Elizabeth Henstridge, who says that the show is planned out incredibly far in advance.

"[Joss Whedon's] got an arc of every single character, and he's got so many places that he wants them all to go, and he's got loads of back stories for them," Henstridge told Marvel. "It's so nice to work with someone that's so invested in that way. All the team is like that. They really care about the characters, and every now and again you'll get a tidbit of, 'So, a few years down the line this might happen.'"

It was revealed last week that Ian Hart's character in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will be Dr. Franklin Hall, also known as the villain Gravitron. There's no telling whether Hart will have Gravitron's powers, or even if he has any real relation to the character. Supposedly, time will tell.

Debuts tomorrow on ABC

THOR: THE DARK WORLD

A new TV spot has popped up for "Thor: The Dark World," which doesn't contain all that much new footage, but it's still pretty fun to watch.

Tom Hiddleston spoke with IGN about the footage shown at Comic-Con International and cautioned viewers from making assumptions before seeing the full film.

"I would say be very careful with your suppositions. People are so quick to jump," Hiddleston told IGN. "That’s what I love about playing the character. People are so quick to draw conclusions about who he is. The whole thing about Loki is that he’s dancing on this liminal line between redemption and destruction. Just be very careful about drawing conclusions based on what you see."

ARROW

Stephen Amell spoke with Digital Spy, teasing the possibility of more Justice League characters appearing on "Arrow" in the coming season.

"It doesn't have to be a movie," Amell told Digital Spy of the Justice League. "We're working in concert with DC and the better and more successful our show is, the more opportunities we're going to get to perhaps have members of the Justice League on our show. Whether they all band together -- that remains to be seen, but that's a very intriguing prospect for somewhere down the road."

E! Online spoke with incoming "Arrow" guest actor Grant Gustin about his recent casting as The Flash and what to expect from his appearance later this season.

"I know I'm coming on as up-and-coming in my field," Gustin said of his character. "He's not going to be The Flash immediately, obviously. … We're going to be Barry Allen first in two episodes and then he'll come back later as The Flash. I haven't actually had a chance to read any scripts yet, so we'll see."

The CW has released a host of new "Arrow" season two images including a new look at Summer Glau as Isabel Rochev.

Returns October 9 on the CW

CHRIS HEMSWORTH ON MARVEL/DC RIVALRY

In what is likely to be one of the most viral quotes of the week, Chris Hemsworth discussed the film rivalry between Marvel and DC during the press junket for "Rush" with Jake's Takes with a very simple sentence.

"No, we're just winning aren't we? There's no real rivalry," Hemsworth said, laughing.
