CONSTANTINE

It seems DC and Warner Bros. will continue to branch out beyond the CW for DC-related television shows, as NBC has ordered a television drama based on "Constantine". David S. Goyer will write the script with "The Mentalist" producer Daniel Cerone. Oddly enough, "The Mentalist" co-creator Bruno Heller is set to write "Gotham," the upcoming Fox series centering around a young James Gordon.

NBC has committed to a script plus penalty, meaning if the pilot doesn't air, NBC will pay a fine to Warner Bros. Expect to see this pilot air, even if it doesn't go to full series.

ARROW

Speaking of DC Comics-based television series, ScreenCrush has revealed that actor Dylan Neal is onboard as "Arrow's" Dr. Anthony Ivo. According to ScreenCrush, Neal's version of Ivo will be "a brutal but ruthless scientist who will stop at nothing to unearth a breakthrough that dates back to the latter days of World War II." His first episode will be episode five of the series' second season.

Green Arrow TV has posted the official synopsis of the second episode of "Arrow's" soon-to-debut second season called "Identity."

DC COMICS’ BRONZE TIGER AND CHINA WHITE WREAK HAVOC ON THE GLADES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) finds out the medicine that is being sent to Glades Memorial is being hijacked by thieves. Without an influx of supplies, the hospital will close. Roy (Colton Haynes) attempts to stop the thieves, but he fails and is arrested by Officer Lance (Paul Blackthorne). Oliver gets into a heated battle with China White (guest star Kelly Hu) and her new partner, Ben Turner, AKA the Bronze Tiger (guest star Michael Jai White), over the supplies. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) makes plans to catch the Arrow, and Thea (Willa Holland) gives Roy an ultimatum. Nick Copus directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Beth Schwartz (#202).

Second season debuts October 9 on the CW

SUPERMAN/BATMAN

Comic Book Therapy spoke with David S. Goyer about his work on the "Man of Steel" sequel -- which may be a bit further in development than fans might think.

"One of the things that has been fun for us, is we’re a bit a further a long than what I think people realize," Goyer told Comic Book Therapy. "From a fan point of view, we’re conscious of that when you’re working on these things, but you can’t let yourself be paralyzed by that. At the end of the day you still have to creat something. And if you try and think, ‘Well what would the fans like’ then you stop being creative. It’s sort of like where does it end? You have to write the story that you want to write, and hope that people want to see it."
