After debuting series artist Adam Kubert's "under the acetate" cover art for his and writer Kieron Gillen's "Origin II" #1 in last week's AXEL-IN-CHARGE, Marvel takes a lighter look at the popular mutant's early years with the exclusive reveal of Skottie Young's special variant for the upcoming project.

"In the tradition of the first 'Origin' series, 'Origin II' will turn what you know about Wolverine and his early life on its head," Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso told CBR. "Starting with an almost-silent tour de force issue that proves why Adam Kubert is a comics legend, Kieron and Adam have mind-blowing revelations for Wolverine and his legendary supporting cast."

Check out Young's variant below, along with another look at Kubert's cover (click for the full, spoilery reveal), and keep it tuned to CBR for more on "Origin II" as it becomes available!
