DC Comics has announced its next run of "Adventures of Superman" and "Legends of the Dark Knight" digital-first series.

DC Comics has revealed the new digital-first creative line-up for its "Adventures of Superman" and "Legends of the Dark Knight" series via its blog, The Source.

Notably absent is controversial writer Orson Scott Card, whose story was pulled from the first issue of "Adventures of Superman" following protest from readers. It's unknown at this point whether the story will actually ever appear, despite the publishers assurances that it would be re-solicited at a later date. Though, it would be understandable if it didn't, especially considering how DC was targeted for hiring Card in the first place, stores planned to boycott the print version of the title and the story's original artist Chris Sprouse left the project due to increased media attention.

Among the new line-up for "Adventures of Superman" are writers Christos Gage, Derek Fridolfs, Jim Krueger, Josh Elder and Peter Milligan alongside artists Eduardo Francisco, Victor Ibanez, Sean "Cheeks" Galloway, Neil Edwards and Agustin Padilla. Meanwhile, "Legends of the Dark Knight" adds two new stories -- one by Doug Wagner and Matthew Dow Smith; and a second by Marc Guggenheim and Federico Dallocchio.
