GHOST RIDER

Superhero Hype has two new reports with photos from the set of the Nicolas Cage vehicle.

A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE

Superhero Hype notes that the big screen version of the John Wagner/Vince Lock graphic novel will premiere at Cannes on May 16th.

X-MEN 3

IGN's FilmForce debunks the rumor we reported on Monday, saying that according to their sources, we'll be Toad-free for "X3."

Meanwhile, the Comic Reel received an email from a trusted source who would prefer to remain anonymous, who had an alleged spoiler about the storyline. Apparently, Marvel's production company is auditioning actresses to play a new 17-year-old female lead character, based on a recent rewrite of the script. The source believes this to be Kitty Pryde stepping into the spotlight, replacing Katie Stuart who was briefly on screen in "X2."

BATMAN BEGINS

Call it World's Finest Wednesday -- numerous sources (including the very busy Superhero Hype) with the news that May 18th's 90-minute season finale of "Smallville" will include an eight minute preview of footage from the Christopher Nolan-helmed DC adaptation.

SMALLVILLE

Speaking of Clark Kent's home town, Kryptonsite has more fresh spoilers about tonight's episode "Spirit." Actress Erica Durance did a video interview (QuickTime) at the network's website talking about her prom preparations for tonight's show.

V FOR VENDETTA

According to IGN's FilmForce, British actor Stephen Fry was in Berlin, filming scenes for an as-yet-undisclosed role in the Alan Moore adaptation.

THE BATMAN

Bringing it back to Gotham City, Comics Continuum has the announcement that new episodes will return to the "lower 48" (since our Canadian friends are seeing season two episodes already), with "The Rubber Face of Comedy" airing on the Kids WB Saturday, April 30th. The site has some screen captures from the episode as well.

SUPERMAN

Moviehole has some complete rumor mill fodder, talking in very vague terms (i.e. no names are mentioned) about a recent Hollywood power lunch applauding the look of Brandon Routh as Clark Kent.
