BATMAN/SUPERMAN

Entertainment Weekly spoke with Ben Affleck about the extended cut of "Argo" as well as his role as Batman in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel.

"Well, I don’t want to get too far afield and I’m sure I’ll have time to talk about Batman down the road," Affleck told EW. "What I’ll say is that I really like Zack [Snyder]. From what I’ve seen of what’s Zack is doing, it’s made me very excited. One of the nice things about being an actor in that movie is they show you all the stuff before anyone else gets to see it. So all the sort of world-creation, and the take on the character and the other characters is really exciting. And at the end of the day, the truth is it’s really directors that make movies work or not -- especially these kinds of movies, where it’s about the whole world, and a rising tide lifts all ships. And if it all has integrity, if it all has a sense of realism, then it works. And if it doesn’t, than it doesn’t really matter what everyone’s doing [on the screen] because they just look like a bunch of Mexican wrestlers in suits."

MAN OF STEEL

Warner Bros. has posted a clip of Henry Cavill discussing his favorite DC Comics reference in "Man of Steel" -- including the potential for Cyborg.

"There's one obvious one, which was now particularly obvious involving Batman," said Cavill. "We see Bruce Wayne Enterprises on satellites in space. We also see references to LexCorp. I have no actual further knowledge of this next story, so there's a good chance that Lex is going to be introduced either soon or at some stage. What really intrigued me was Dr. Emil Hamilton's reference to STAR Labs. Cyborg, I think would make a wonderful character and a bridge between superhumans and humanity in a different way to Batman."

Now on DVD/Blu-ray.

STAR WARS

Yes, "Star Wars" now has an official Instagram account. There have only been three photos posted thus far, one of which is this lovely Darth Vader selfie.

THE STRAIN

A short teaser for FX's "The Strain" television series aired during the midseason finale of "The Walking Dead," and "The Strain's" official YouTube account has posted the full teaser online.

THE HULK

Flicks and the City spoke with Lou Ferrigno about his contribution to the Hulk's voice in "The Avengers" as well as the potential for a full Hulk feature film following 2015's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

Recently, J.J. Abrams spoke about keeping Benedict Cumberbatch's "Star Trek Into Darkness" role of Khan under wraps and whether it was the correct decision. IGN spoke with Cumberbatch about the very same topic during press for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug."

"It's logistics, isn't it? I don't know if it was a bad thing or good thing. It was his call," said Cumberbatch. "I was fine with it. I like the idea of -- the intention was to have a reveal in the audience that was going to be thrilling and that worked to an extent, because not everybody knew what they were in for and they went into the theater and some people wanted to experience it in the theater rather than spoiling it by reviews or internet gossip or trailers that gave everything away. So, who knows? For those people, I'd say it was a good thing."

Now on DVD/Blu-ray
