Barry Allen -- the Century City Police forensic scientist destined to become DC Comics superhero The Flash -- makes his "Arrow" debut on this Wednesday's episode, "The Scientist," as played by actor Grant Gustin.

In this clip, a curious, non-powered Barry quizzes Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) on her experiences with "the vigilante" -- main character Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). Gustin will appear in two episodes of "Arrow;" this week's, plus "Three Ghosts," airing Dec. 11.

"He's fun to play. He's likeable. I would be his friend," Gustin said during a press event Monday at The CW's Burbank headquarters. "I haven't had the opportunity to play a character that I would actually enjoy spending time with."

"The Scientist," written by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, is set to air on The CW at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.
