As zombies continue to chew their way through Riverdale in Archie Comics' ongoing "Afterlife With Archie" series, it appears the horror comic is about to turn from zombies toward another classic of the genre: the slumber party showdown.

CBR News has an exclusive first look at Andrew Pepoy's variant cover to "Afterlife With Archie" #5 featuring Veronica Lodge in a nighttime nightmare. The image marks the return of the cover artist who also did a cheesecake style Betty variant for issue #1.

But no matter what shows up in the "guts" of issue #5, readers can likely expect Veronica to survive a little longer as writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased to CBR recently, "We’re going to find out just how eternal the Betty-Veronica-Archie love-triangle actually is during our second arc, 'Betty RIP.'"

See the full solicits for "Afterlife" #5 below, and stay tuned for more on the future of Archie's undead world.
