X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

On Friday, Bryan Singer stated that Anna Paquin's Rogue has been cut out of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" with the actress' one and only scene getting left on the cutting room floor during edits.

“Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,” Singer told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”

BATMAN/SUPERMAN

mlive.com spoke with University of Michigan graduate and "Man of Steel" sequel producer Wesley Coller about his experience on the film, and the producer gave his thoughts on the backlash to Ben Affleck's casting as Batman.

“Anything you do that’s culturally significant, or any time you deal with an iconic character or story, you’re going to hear responses from every possible perspective," Coller told mlive. "So nothing surprises me anymore. If anything, that gauges the relevance of a property or character, and it’s invigorating to know people care that much. It inspires you to make the coolest version of the movie that you can. Ben is the perfect fit for Zack’s vision for this story.”
