Producer Joel Silver talked to AAP (registration required) about plans for Themyscria's Finest. "Silver would not be drawn into speculation about who might slip into the skimpy red, white and blue costume and bullet-reflecting bracelets Lynda Carter made famous in the 1970s TV series. 'No, we're not there yet,' Silver said of the casting. 'We're still writing the script.' A date for when 'Wonder Woman' and her magic lasso might begin shooting also was not certain. 'There's no timeframe yet,' Silver said. 'We've got Joss Whedon writing the script. When we have a script we'll make a decision about what we're going to do.'"
According to Ain't It Cool News, "Korean animation studio DG Spot and its production arm Morph have optioned an American property, the graphic novel 'MASTERMINDS,' to adapt into an animated feature. Production on the film, which will include a role voiced by Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, is slated to start this summer."
Composer John Ottman talked to Monsters and Critics about his desire to return for another semester at Xavier's. "I would love to do 'X3,' and I know they want me to do it. The only hitch would be if 'Superman' conflicts with their schedule. I really wanted to do 'X3' because I set up all the themes to be expanded upon later."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, "NBC has moved a step closer to greenlighting the drama 'Fathom,' from NBC Universal TV Studio, by starting the staffing process on that show about mysterious creatures of the deep sea." Premise of the feature, based on Jason Lethcoe's graphic novel 'Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted', will star Courteney Cox as 'Marsha,' a scientist with a secret agency that runs a super-hero program. In the film, a young girl discovers her father (Allen) is a super-hero and is sent to an 'X-men' type facility to hone her own super talents. Peter 'Garfield' Hewitt directs for producers Trevor Engelson and Nicholas Osborne."
