"Sandman: Overture" #2 hits stores March 5, continuing the anticipated Vertigo series by Neil Gaiman and J.H. Williams III. In advance of the issue's release, the publisher has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at the recolored covers for the issue by Williams and the variant by original "Sandman" cover artist Dave McKean.

The issue, originally solicited for release on December 31, was announced as delayed in November. At the time, Gaiman responded to concerns about the issue's delay.

"I understand your disappointment and sympathise," the writer said via Tumblr. "[J.H. Williams III and I are] both really sorry about the delay. It’s unprofessional, and is mostly due to the giant signing tour I was on from June, and me not getting script written on the tour, with knock-on effects. We’re hoping it’ll be the only delay though."

Check out the covers for "Sandman: Overture" #2 below.

EXCLUSIVE: (L to R) Williams' recolored digital combo pack cover; Williams' 1:100 recolored variant; McKean's standard variant cover; McKean's 1:100 recolored variant
