ALL HAIL THE KING

Sir Ben Kingsley spoke with The Huffington Post about returning to the character of Trevor Slattery for the "All Hail The King" Marvel One-Shot, and how much he enjoyed stepping back into his shoes.

"I felt deep joy playing him," Kingsley told The Huffington Post. "He's connected in a way to so much I care about: the English language, acting, the English sense of humor, the particular part of the north of England where he comes from -- not my part, but it was close to it -- The Beatles, Liverpool. All of those lovely English things I was able to cook with thanks to Drew [Pearce]."

THE FLASH

In "The Flash" casting news, "Ed" actor Tom Cavanaugh has joined the CW spinoff as Harrison Wells, the scientist behind S.T.A.R. Labs' particle accelerator, which was the cause of the explosion that knocked out Barry Allen.

Beyond casting, there's good news on the horizon for fans of Grant Gustin's Barry Allen -- according to executive producer Greg Berlanti, the character will survive even if the show doesn't get picked up.

"Fingers crossed we don’t screw it up and he gets his own show,” Berlanti told Digital Spy. "If he didn’t, I don’t think we would ever want to let Grant go. He’s too valuable. That would be our hope, I think -- no matter what, to keep Barry part of the universe."

ARROW

Speaking of the "Arrow"-verse and its connectivity to "The Flash," Comic Book Movie has posted footage from Dallas Comic Con of "Arrow" star Stephen Amell's Q&A with the audience, where he reveals a few telling tidbits about the show.

"We've seen the Deathstroke costume, so we know that that's happening," said Amell. "I can tell you two things: one, we will see another hero costume before the end of the season; and two, we will see people from Central City before the end of the season."

And for a really quick tease, "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim posted a single line from the series' 14th episode:

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Not much to report here other than a new photo of Jaimie Alexander as Sif on the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." bus.

"Jaimie walked onto the set in full Lady Sif regalia just as she looks in the movies -- from the huge, mile-high boots to the metal armor -- and she towered over everyone," showrunner Maurissa Tancheroen told TV Guide.
