Skybound will offer attendees of the upcoming "The Walking Dead Escape" tour a chance to own a new version of "The Walking Dead" #1, the 2003 Image comic book by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore that started the multimedia franchise. CBR News has the exclusive first look at the tour-specific variant cover illustrated by Juan Jose Ryp and colorist Dave Stewart, featuring Rick and Carl Grimes.

The cover will be available to the first 1,000 people signed up as either a "Walker" or "Survivor" at each stop on the tour, which starts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on April 24. If you're not one of the initial thousand, the comic will also be on sale throughout the tour. Those who purchase VIP tickets will receive a black-and-white variant of the Ryp-illustrated cover.

The tour currently has eight stops booked, including San Diego's Petco Park during Comic-Con International, the original home of the event.

Houston, TX – April 26 at Reliant Stadium
