FOX AND MARVEL

20th Century Fox has announced dates for a number of upcoming Marvel films including a sequel to the as-yet-unreleased "Fantastic Four," due to hit July 14, 2017; and a sequel to "The Wolverine" set for March 3, 2017. Additionally, one more film in Fox's Marvel franchise will hit theaters the following year on July 13, 2018, though no further details were revealed.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

It's still early days for "X-Men: Apocalypse," but it looks like Bryan Singer is already making his laundry list of who to include in the film. Spanish entertainment website CINE Premiere (Translated by Comic Book Movie) spoke with the "Days of Future Past" director about his wish-list of X-Men to include in the announced film.

"I'm considering a Gambit and potentially a young Nightcrawler for Apocalypse," Singer told CINE Premiere. "[I was] going to have Nightcrawler appear [in Days of Future Past] and even wrote a scene, but I felt that we were forcing too many mutants known history."

JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS

"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" director Jon M. Chu has announced his involvement in a "Jem and the Holograms" film. Chu will serve as director for the big screen version of the '80s Hasbro cartoon/toy line, and is asking for submissions to help write the music, design costumes and select cast.

"Sort of like Kickstarter, but rather than asking for money, we're asking for your creativity," Chu said.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Patton Oswalt is guest-starring on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." in an upcoming episode. Oswalt will play Agent Eric Koenig, who was first introduced in Marvel Comics' "Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos in 1966.

"When they first told me the character’s name, I’ll admit the first thing I did is I went on Wikipedia and looked up the M.O.D.O.K. character to see if Koenig was maybe his name before he became M.O.D.O.K., but it wasn’t,” Oswalt told Marvel.com, laughing. “They keep on talking about the Clairvoyant in the show and I’m like, ‘is that M.O.D.O.K.? Am I M.O.D.O.K.?”

GOTHAM

Warner Bros. has released a first look at Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, which seems to draw a decent amount of inspiration from the character's comic book incarnation.
