With the anticipated "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" set to release in theaters August 22, Dimension Films has released six new promotional images to tease more of the film's signature artistic style in homage to Frank Miller's source material -- but these aren't just any images. The animated photos, which include new looks at Jessica Alba, Josh Brolin and more, feature milliseconds of footage from the film for a few visually distinctive scenes.

Basically, if you ever needed a GIF of someone getting punched over and over again in silhouette, or Josh Brolin falling in an endless loop, the "Sin City" sequel has you covered.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez and releasing August 22, "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" contains two original stories by series creator Frank Miller, as well as plots based on the titular "A Dame to Kill For" and the short story "Just Another Saturday Night."
