X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" opens today -- be sure to check out CBR's "Days of Future Past" review -- and The Wrap has posted an interview with Evan Peters about how he prepared to play Quicksilver.

Meanwhile, IGN spoke with Simon Kinberg about the film's post-credits sequence -- so don't watch the video if you don't want to be spoiled on it!

While the film may debut today, that doesn't mean promotion for the film is over just yet -- according to The Hollywood Reporter, images of the film will be projected on the streets of Oxford Circus in London, England -- both 3D stills and moving visuals.

Finally, Hugh Jackman has once again clarified his comments about possibly retiring from the character of Wolverine.

"I don’t know when that day will be, but I want to make sure that there’s still more for me to create that I’m still as passionate about and committed to it, and that the movies are as good,” Jackman said. “As long as all that lines up, I don’t see an end date yet. … I mean, I’ve seen some quotes, some of which have been accurate, some of which were misquoted, but I’ve tried to be honest. And the truth is, right now, I would like to be able to continue playing it, but I probably have higher standards to get me there."

Now in theaters

UNTITLED STAR WARS SPINOFF

"Godzilla" director Gareth Edwards is set to direct the first "Star Wars" spinoff film. It was confirmed by Lucasfilm and corroborated by a statement from Legendary Entertainment's Thomas Tull, who worked with Edwards on "Godzilla."

"Gareth’s filmmaking talent makes him one of his generation’s most creative and visionary directors," Tull said in a statement. "The plan has always been for Gareth to direct a different film before we started on another 'Godzilla,' but who knew it would a Star Wars installment? We have a great plan in store for Godzilla fans and I am looking forward to seeing Gareth’s imprint on the Star Wars universe."

Edwards will direct a script by Gary Whitta ("After Earth").

Opens December 16, 2016

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION

ComingSoon.net reports that a new viral marketing website for "Transformers: Age of Extinction" has surfaced -- TransformersAreDangerous.com, which provides a video clip of "The Fall of Chicago" from "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and some propaganda posters that denounce the Transformers. (And yes, you can actually call the number on the poster to report a Transformers sighting.)

Opens June 27
