There's an interview with screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci over at Comingsoon.net, where the topic of characters and sequels is discussed. "The staple characters: Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream, Jazz," Kurtzman said. "There's going to be a lot of them. You're going to have ten Transformers in that movie, and if that's not enough, you can go see 2, 3, 4 or 5." Sorry, Red Alert.
This weekend will bring the debut of the stunning episode ""Divided We Fall," according to Comics Continuum, including a return of the Justice Lords (sort of) and some serious spandex smackdown. The link also has numerous, potentially spoiler-esque screen captures.
SIN CITY 2/CONSTANTINE 2
Superhero Hype caught up to actors Michael Clarke Duncan and Djimon Hounsou at the press junket for "The Island." Hounsou said, "I would be very interested," he told us enthusiastically, "It's a cool character and I think that the character needs to be a little more defined and developed about how he came about to be who he is in that world and how he is able to mingle within that world without being affected. I'm looking forward to that, but there's no talk that I know of yet."
Duncan was optimistic about making a comeback. "They don't have [the story] in a certain order, o you might see me in another 'Sin City' before that one. It jumps back and forth and all around, and you never actually see my character die. You just assume that he got shot up and that he's dead, but they told me that they would never show him dead because they want him to come back. He's supposed to be this supernatural being that can always come back."
More spoilers? Okay -- Kryptonsite has more about the season's second episode, "Mortal."
SLOW NEWS DAY
Everybody must be bracing themselves for Nerd Spring Break in San Diego this weekend (and yes, The Comic Reel will be there). If you have the scoop on anything related to comic book movies, TV adaptations or just want to give us a briefcase full of cash, no questions asked, drop us a line and let's coordinate. You can choose an alias if you'd like, or be mentioned by name -- we honor requests for anonymity. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, if you're in SD look for me at the Speakeasy booth (and buy a copy of my novel from me), and "don't blame me, I'm drunk too!"
