GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Comic Book Movie has posted a new TV spot for "Guardians of the Galaxy" that features a new, quick look at the Nova Corps leadership, as well as Bradley Cooper's Rocket Raccoon.

Entertainment Tonight also did a segment on "Guardians of the Galaxy" recently, with comments from Cooper and a rundown of the film's central premise.

Opens August 1

ANT-MAN

While speaking with ShortList, "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau commented on the recent departure of Edgar Wright from Marvel's "Ant-Man" film.

"Edgar’s a dear friend of mine -- I was so looking forward to his version of Ant-Man," Favreau said. "All Edgar’s films have been studio films, it’s not like he’s never made one before. I think he’s been used to a situation where he can have tremendous creative say around his story and casting, and Marvel has built an entire franchise around their style of telling stories. I know both parties well, and I respect his decision to see that he wasn’t going to be fulfilled in the process. That’s all I can really say."

Opens July 17, 2015

THE FLASH/ARROW

Only a brief update for fans of "The Flash" and "Arrow." The CW has announced release dates for both shows, with "The Flash" scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 and the "Arrow" season three premiere set for Wednesday, October 8.

PREDATOR

According to an interview with Collider, Shane Black and Fred Dekker's upcoming "Predator" film is not a reboot, but rather an "inventive sequel."

"Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?" Black told Collider, noting that he enjoys "the idea of expanding and exploring the existing 'Predator' mythology rather than hitting the restart button," calling Dekker's script "perfect."

THE STRAIN

FX has released two new promotional videos for "The Strain," one describing the world of the series, and another delving into the general story and concept.

Premieres July 13 on FX
