Valiant's "Archer & Armstrong" is headed for a film adaptation.

Ain't It Cool News reported on Thursday that Valiant Entertainment's "Archer & Armstrong" is being fast-tracked for a film adaptation. The report states that Valiant "loves" the completed script -- based on the comic's recent modern run by Fred Van Lente and a number of artists including Clayton Henry and Pere Perez -- and the film is already heading into production. AICN's source stated that the film will feature the One Percent as the villains with other Valiant characters, such as Armstrong's brother, the Eternal Warrior.

The "Archer & Armstrong" film would be the third movie project from Valiant Entertainment since the company relaunched its comics line in 2012. Sony acquired the rights to "Bloodshot" in March 2012 based on a spec script by "Kick-Ass 2" director Jeff Wadlow, while it was announced in October 2012 that J. Michael Straczynski would write a live-action version of "Shadowman."

When contacted by CBR, Valiant Entertainment declined comment.
