Fans worldwide received their first glimpse of Ben Affleck's costume from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in May, but this week at Comic-Con International, attendees can get an up-close look at the cape and cowl.

Displayed by DC Entertainment alongside other Batman movie costumes as part of the character's 75th anniversary celebration, the elements perhaps offer a better idea than the moody promotional photo did of director Zack Snyder's vision for the Dark Knight. The cape and cowl are indeed black, not the steely gray of The Dark Knight Returns. The rest of the costume, which isn't part of the exhibit, is said to be gray and black.

Opening May 6, 2016, "Batman v Superman, Dawn of Justice" also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
