CAPTAIN AMERICA 3

While speaking with ComicBook.com, "Captain America 3" directors Joe and Anthony Russo discussed what's in store for the upcoming sequel, and who will be back from the crew.

"From a crew standpoint, it's almost everybody," Joe Russo told ComicBook.com. "Henry Jackman's back, our whole technical crew for the most part is back. We're Italian; we love a big happy family. We love consistency and a lot of people did a great job on the last movie.

"From a character standpoint, it falls into the category of what you can and can't say working for Marvel. Certainly Captain America will be back," he continued. "The expectation would be that Bucky will be back and there's certain characters in the Marvel Universe that Cap has a strong connection to but we've also got some tricks up our sleeve for this one and we're hard at work. That's a very crowded summer and there's high expectations so we're all hard at work trying to exceed those expectations and really carve out a big, splashy idea for 'Cap 3.'"

Joe Russo also spoke with Cinema Blend about the one-time clash of release dates between "Captain America 3" and "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"We’re filmmakers. But we’re also comic-book geeks and movie fans. I want to go to the theater and be excited and see shit that inspires me, and gets me excited as a filmmaker," Russo said. "And so we wish success on everybody! Now that we’re in the sort of heyday of comic-book films, you don’t want anybody sort of spoiling the party. This summer was actually great because boy did we get treated to some pretty great movies this summer. So you keep hoping that’s the case moving forward.

"And it seems like studios -- and I think a lot of this has to do with social media. Social media is so quick to identify when something isn’t working. You know, on Friday night by like 6 p.m., whether a movie is in trouble. And I think you can’t hide anymore. You have got to show up with a great movie, or you are screwed. I think you are finding that it’s happening less and less, that something that is not that good is doing very well. It’s forcing everyone’s hand, and really pushing people to do very good work."

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN

For those hoping to see Donald Glover as Miles Morales, your wish is about to be granted. Glover has been cast as Miles Morales on Disney XD's "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series and will play a role in the "Spider-Verse" story arc.

"He meets someone who is his hero, and that comes across completely in Donald's performance," Stephen Wacker, Marvel Television's vice president of current animation, tells the newspaper. "He's got a real warmth that suits the character really, really well. If you've read Miles Morales comics, Donald's voice nails what you've been reading."

BLADE RUNNER SEQUEL

Entertainment Weekly spoke with Ridley Scott about the status of a number of his projects, including the announced "Blade Runner" sequel.

"It’s written and it’s damn good," Scott told EW. "Of course it involves Harrison [Ford], who is a survivor after all these years -- despite the accident."

As EW notes, it's likely that Scott is referring to Ford's recent injury on the set of "Star Wars," and the actor's representatives have not yet responded on his commitment to the "Blade Runner" sequel.

BIG HERO 6

Here's yet another cute short video of Hiro and Baymax from "Big Hero 6," this time playing with balloon animals.
