Comics Continuum chimes in with what might be the day's only news bit, with episode descriptions of the automotive themed "Revved Up" and the prequel episode "Go."
As you may or may not know (and this reporter forgot until Monday afternoon), many citizens of the United States will be celebrating a holiday on Thursday. Apparently, most of the ones involved with translating comic book properties to the large or small screen, as well as many of the ones reporting on such goings on, have already long since packed it in as of 5AM PST today. Disappointing, admittedly, but that's the modern work ethic in a nutshell. We're very sorry to admit that what you see here is -- as of 5AM PST -- all the news there is to print. We'll keep our eye on the web during the day and update should anything interesting pop up. But this is intended to be the last Comic Reel for the week (and it's doubtful there'll be Buy Pile comics reviews either), so perhaps we'll see you all, bloated and groggy, on Monday. If you do celebrate this holiday, enjoy and our fondest wishes to you and yours.
In any case, this is the part of the column where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn't catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all -- fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/reviewer/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
