Official Press Release

The SAN DIEGO COMICON kicks off this Thursday, and FANTAGRAPHICS will be out in full-force, with round-the-clock signings and events, headed up by the San Diego premiere of TERRY ZWIGOFF & DANIEL CLOWES' GHOST WORLD FILM, taking place THURSDAY NIGHT at a top secret location. TICKETS will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the official COMICON BOUTIQUE BOOTH, but also check by the Fanta table (BOOTH #215) for further details and surprises. Rumor has it the screening will be strictly limited to fewer than 300 people, so tickets are expected to go fast! Before the screening, DANIEL CLOWES will be signing at the Fanta booth from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, and 12-2 on FRIDAY -- these will be his only appearances of the weekend, so take note!

CLOWES will be signing two new GHOST WORLD-related items debuting at the Fanta booth in San DIEGO: the LITTLE ENID DOLL and GHOST WORLD SOUNDTRACK! Both feature exclusive artwork by Clowes and sport excellent production values (for more info, keep reading...).

Fanta fans will also want to check out a special panel taking place on FRIDAY at 1 p.m. (in Room 16B). ONE-ON-ONE: GARY GROTH & KIM THOMPSON features the two Fantagraphics co-owners, reminiscing about the highs and lows of their influential publishing career, which celebrates 25 years this month.
