With issue #6 of "Red Sonja" #6 hitting stands last Wednesday, Dynamite hooked CBR News up with writers Michael Avon Oeming and Mike Carey to take us "behind the curtain" of both issue #6 and the issue that follows it in terms of story-- but which kicked off the whole Red Sonja craze-- issue #0.
Yesterday, we presented both Oeming and Carey's thoughts on issue #0. Today, we're happy to present Oeming's thoughts on the closing issue of the first "Red Sonja" arc.
This is where everything comes together, some big things happen, some nice reversals. Lots of work went into this issue, I must have done four outlines for it to make sure everything paid off and was relevant. Mike Carey really came through because the pressure was on me and I wasn't writing the best dialogue in the world, but Carey is a master and made it flow.

(ART: PAGE 7) I really like the simple hardcore fight between the Celestial and Sonja, and Mel pulled off the "reveal" quite nice.
Over all, you will, upon reflection, hopefully find seeds we have planted here that we will return on in later issues. We have plans on making the first two years read as one large story, so keep your eyes peeled for clues spread out through these issues that will creep up on you later.
