[Jennifer Connelly]In an interview with USA Today yesterday "A Beautiful Mind" co-star Jennifer Connelly took some time out while promoting her current film to discuss the next project she's working on, "The Hulk."

Connelly plays Betty Ross, the love-interest for Dr. Bruce Banner played by "Black Hawk Down" star Eric Bana. Directed by Ang Lee, the film is set for a June 20th, 2003 launch.

"Look who's directing. It's Ang Lee," Connelly told USA Today. "You wonder what the 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Tiger' script looked like in script form, and that was a lyrical and beautiful film. ... I'd rather work with a director who's so exciting."

Connelly was quick to point out that "The Hulk" won't be like any comic book movie we've seen before.

"It's smart and better than clever, kind of penetrating. A little dark. It's like Wallace Stevens' poem, 'Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird.'"

This won't be the first time Connelly is seen in a film based on a comic book. In 1991 Connelly starred as Jenny Blake in the silver-screen adaptation of Dave Stevens' graphic novel "The Rocketeer."
