Official Press Release

CBR News spoke previously to writer Dwayne McDuffie and producer Jason Ades about their work on the forthcoming "Justice League Heroes" video game, and our coverage continues with the announcement of Aquaman's inclusion in the hotly anticipated title!

Justice League fans will be able to experience Aquaman as an unlockable character, alongside Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, and the previously announced unlockable Green Arrow. In keeping with Aquaman's origin as an undersea hero from the mythical kingdom of Atlantis, the character will in the game be armed with powers such as "whirlpool" (a temporary water whirlwind that traps enemies); "the sword of Atlantis" and "water shield" protection.

As previously revealed, the game story by "Justice League Unlimited" writer/producer Dwayne McDuffie sees the heroes of the Justice League in a fight to stop Braniac and his evil forces, including Killer Frost and The Key, and restore peace to the world. Produced by Jason Ades, "Justice League Heroes" features role playing customization, air-to-ground combat, a fully destructible environment, 2-player collaborative play, and an array of customizable powers authentic to players' favorite Justice League characters.

"Justice League Heroes" arrives in Fall 2006 for the PS2, PSP, GBA and DS.
